About Divine Dental Care

Your Family Dentists in Croydon

Formerly Devon Street Dental Clinic, Divine Dental Care is a modern and accredited dental practice in Croydon, Victoria. Our focus is providing you and your family with quality and affordable general, cosmetic and implant dental care from a team of experienced and qualified dental professionals.

We are healthfund preferred providers for Medibank Private, BUPA, HCF, NIB, CBHS, GMHBA and more. We also bulk bill eligible children through the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule, covered on our CDBS dentist page, and we accept both DVA card types and claim directly with DVA. Those are the Gold Card (Veteran Card – All Conditions) and the White Card (Veteran Card – Specific Conditions). See our DVA dentist page for what is covered.

The practice began when we took over the practice from a retiring dentist, with a straightforward aim: high quality general, orthodontic and implant dentistry at a price Croydon families could actually meet. The move from Devon Street came later. The old rooms were simply too small, and a purpose-built facility meant more space for patients being treated and better conditions for the people working here. The practice is owned by Dr. Andrew Yong, who is the practice principal and still treats patients, together with Dr. Siew Leong, who holds a non-clinical role as co-owner and does not see patients here.

Conveniently located next to Croydon train and bus stations with free on-site parking, we offer late evening appointments and are open six days a week including Saturdays.

Meet Our Team

One Practice, Ten Dentists, One Set of Records

Divine Dental Care runs as a group practice led by Dr Andrew Yong as principal dentist. Each dentist here has their own clinical interests, and they work closely enough to use each other's. If the dentist you see cannot do a particular treatment, the first move is to refer you to someone else inside this practice rather than send you out of it.

That is the practical difference between a ten-dentist practice and a larger waiting room. A course of treatment that starts as a check-up and turns into a crown, an implant or orthodontics stays in the same building, on the same records, with people who talk to each other about your case. Referral outside the practice happens when a case genuinely calls for it, and we will tell you when that is.

The equipment follows the same logic. Imaging, scanning, milling and printing are all on site, so fewer stages of your treatment wait on somebody else's calendar.

Accredited Practice

Divine Dental Care is voluntarily accredited through QIP (Quality Innovation Performance) against the 6 National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards. This means we meet the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.

Accreditation is voluntary and most practices do not pursue it, so it is worth understanding what it actually covers. Our practice accreditation page sets out what is assessed and by whom. You can also take a look around the rooms on the clinic page, and the frequently asked questions cover the practical things people ring up about.
